- פִּיטְרָאII m. (פְּטַר) farewell. Snh.96b שרא פ׳ בביתיה Ms. M. (read שדא פ׳ לביתיה; ed. Crac. פיטריתא, Rashi ed. Crac. פכרתא; v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) he sent a farewell letter (disposal of his property) to his house; (ed. פּוּרְטִיתָא, v. פִּירְטָא).
